Stewards approved the following overweights:

Race 1: CRICKS HIGHWAY CLASS 6 PLATE      1000 Metres
 
HOLY RACKET – Laid out throughout. Passing the 300m, was inconvenienced and carried in by MISS PERSONALITY which shifted in to improve. Passing the 150m, momentarily inconvenienced when awkwardly placed on the heels of SUPER DAISY which shifted in after being contacted. 
 
JONNY DA WOLF – Began awkwardly and shifted in. Brushed with SISSTAINABLE on a number of occasions over the concluding stages.
 
BINE – Shifted in on jumping.
 
BELEGATO – When asked to comment on the performance, rider J. Guthmann-Chester reported that the gelding was disappointing, as when he placed BELEGATO under pressure in the home straight, he did not quicken as anticipated.
 
SUPER DAISY – Bumped and shifted in abruptly on jumping. Approaching the 200m, momentarily inconvenienced having its hindquarters contacted by MISS PERSONALITY. Leaving the 200m, Apprentice M. Philpot, had her whip entangled with MISS PERSONALITY resulting in apprentice Philpot being unable to use her whip for a number of strides. 
 
MISS PERSONALITY – Began awkwardly then hampered between runners and lost ground. Held up for clear running on entering the home straight. Passing the 300m, shifted in to obtain clear running. Approaching the 200m, raced in restricted room for a short distance between JONNY DA WOLF and SUPER DAISY, brushed the hindquarters of SUPER DAISY and became awkward in its stride.
 
SISSTAINABLE – Buffeted between runners on jumping. Over raced during the early stages whilst being restrained to take up a position behind JONNY DA WOLF. Raced wide throughout. Brushed with JONNY DA WOLF on a number of occasions over the concluding stages.
 
 
Race 2: LADBROKES THE EAGLE WAY       2100 Metres
 
TAMBELOA – Bumped on jumping.
 
AGENT ZERO – Laid out rounding the home turn and became awkwardly placed at the heels of NIGHTLINE and continued to lay in for the remainder. Jockey T. Clark could offer no explanation for today’s performance and advised that in his opinion, the gelding may have come to the end of its preparation. Stable representative D. Maher advised he would report back to Stewards if anything comes to light that may have affected the performance of the gelding in the coming days. A post race veterinary examination revealed a poor recovery.
 
NIGHTLINE – Over raced during the early stages. Laid out rounding the home turn.
 
TAP HIGH – Began awkwardly. Jumped the crossing near the 1850m. Rider B. Thompson reported that his saddle slipped in running and he was unable to fully test his mount.
 
Following the running of this race, jockey M. Harley was stood down due to illness.
 
 
Race 3: JACQUINOT YEARLINGS @ MAGIC MILLIONS QTIS TWO-YEAR-OLD HANDICAP            1200 Metres
 
The start of this race was delayed approximately four minutes when SAY YOU WILL refused to load. Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered that all bets placed on SAY YOU WILL be refunded with the following deductions to apply:
 
1st WARWOVEN 8c win, 6c place
2nd LUMBINI 13c place
 
Co-trainer C. Munce was advised that SAY YOU WILL will require a further barrier certificate prior to racing again. Mr Munce advised that it was the stables’ likely intention that the filly will be spelled.
 
WARWOVEN – Began awkwardly.
 
LUMBINI – Passing the 800m, laid out whilst over racing.
 
LEAVES OF LORIEN – Began awkwardly.
 
ONE DAY AT A TIME – Slow to begin. Over raced during the early and middle stages.
 
SEDUCTRA – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
Race 4: SKY RACING BENCHMARK 90 HANDICAP       1400 Metres
 
STRAIT ACER – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
EDITED BY – Near the 1000m, commenced to over race whilst being restrained. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
BAND OF BROTHERS – Bumped on jumping.  
 
MICKEY’S MEDAL – Slow to begin. Rider B. Thompson could offer no excuses for the disappointing performance. A post race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
OUR MAGNUS – Obliged to steady after improved onto the heels of EDITED BY near the 1000m.
 
POCKET FULL – Raced wide throughout. Laid out passing the 600m.
 
ESJAY – Began awkwardly and bumped heavily with BAND OF BROTHERS. Raced wide throughout.
 
 
 
Race 5: MAGIC MILLIONS SHOOT OUT        2100 Metres
 
SIBAAQ – Began awkwardly. Cast the off hind plate.
 
WALSH BAY – Raced wide during the early stages.  Raced in restricted room for a short distance near the 500m resulting in the mare losing ground and being forced to shift wider on entering the home straight.
 
WARP SPEED – Began awkwardly.
 
KALUAKOI – Began awkwardly.
 
FELIX THE SCAT – Raced wide from the 1200m.
 
SUN WORSHIPPER – Momentarily held up when awkwardly placed at the heels of FELIX THE SCAT after laying in under pressure in the early stages of the home straight.
 
TEXAS FIREBALL – Inconvenienced shortly after jumping.
 
 
Race 6: MAGIC MILLIONS NUDGEE STAKES        1200 Metres
 
DANCE TO THE BOOM – When asked to comment on the performance, jockey K. McEvoy reported that being first up from a short spell, he was not overly disappointed with the effort and is of the opinion, the mare will derive benefit from today’s run. A post race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery.
 
MIDNIGHT IN TOKYO – Raced wide throughout.
 
SHALAA’S MOMENT – Slow to begin then shortly afterwards inconvenienced. Raced wide throughout. Jockey T. Berry reported that the mare commenced to weaken when placed under pressure in the home straight and he became concerned with the action of the mare and elected to not place her under pressure. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be displaying cardiac arrythmia. Trainer P. Robl was advised of the provisions of Racing Australia’s Code of Practoce for cardiac arrythmia.
 
LIQUOR – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.
 
NAVYONTHEHIGHWAY – Laid in under pressure in the home straight obliging rider B. Thompson to stop and correct on a number of occasions.
 
GIVE GIGGLES – Raced wide throughout.
 
LONHRO’S QUEEN – Began awkwardly.
 
ZOUPERB – Laid in during the early stages 
 
SUNSET DREAMING – Began awkwardly and as a result was slow into stride. 
 
RED DEFCON – Slow to begin.
 
Following the running of this race, the track was upgraded to a Good (4).
 
 
 
Race 7: MAGIC MILLIONS VO ROGUE PLATE       1300 Metres
 
DAMIEN – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.
 
NINJA – Began awkwardly. Raced wide for the majority.
 
LOCKYER – Began awkwardly. Over raced in the early stages. Raced wide throughout. Momentarily inconvenienced on straightening by O’OLE which shifted out before being corrected. Raced in restricted room for a short distance passing the 150m.
 
BIG PAPA – Began awkwardly. Over raced in the early stages. Raced wide throughout. Raced in restricted room for a number of strides over the concluding stages  when racing between DAMIEN which shifted out and O’OLE. Jockey C. Williams, rider of DAMIEN, was advised to exercise greater care.
 
METAL MAN – Jockey M. Rodd reported that the gelding over exerted itself enroute to the barriers and continued to race keenly during the event which was detrimental to the gelding’s finishing effort. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be displaying signs of heat stress.
 
O’OLE – Approaching the 400m, shifted out abruptly when attempting to obtain clear running before being corrected by its rider.
 
HI BARBIE – Began awkwardly.
 
SHADY ROAD – Raced greenly over the concluding stages.
 
ADORABLE THOUGHT – Slow to begin.
 
DIALIDAE – Rider K. McEvoy reported that the filly over raced throughout which was detrimental to its finishing effort.
 
 
 
Race 8: MAGIC MILLIONS THE BUFFERING        1400 Metres
 
ROBUSTO – Raced wide throughout.
 
ROTHFIRE – Raced in restricted room for a short distance passing the 1000m to the inside of THE THREE HUNDRED when trapped wide and attempting to obtain cover. Jockey B. Thompson reported that the gelding had a tough run after being trapped wide for the majority, however was disappointing in its finishing effort. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer R. Heathcote advised that ROTHFIRE would now head for a spell.
 
ROCKRIBBED – Raced in restricted room passing the 700m to the inside of ROBUSTO. Held up for clear running on entering the home straight and obliged to shift in to improve passing the 300m.
 
TAVS – Raced in restricted room near the 800m. Jockey A. Jones reported that the gelding was plain in its finishing effort today. A post race veterinary examination  revealed the gelding to be displaying symptoms of heat stress and thumps.
 
I AM ARTIE – Commenced to over race near the 800m and had to be restrained off the heels of TAVS, who was being restrained when racing in restricted room. 
 
ZASZOU – Stood flatfooted as the start was effected. Passing the 600m, raced in restricted room making contact with the running rail. Jockey J. Parr, rider of ROBUSTO, was severely reprimanded pursuant AR131(a) for careless riding for this incident. Jockey C. Williams reported that on straightening, the mare failed to respond to his riding and he was of the opinion that ZASZOU’S run was coming to an end, however the mare commenced to quicken over the latter stages.
 
EL MORZILLO – Over raced in the early stages.  
 
 
Race 9: BECOME A BRC MEMBER CLASS 3 HANDICAP        1400 Metres
 
KADALL – Cast the near hind plate.
 
SILVER WEDDING – As the start was effected made heavy contact with outside barrier partition and as a result was slow into stride. Trainer’s representative D. Maher was advised that a warning would be placed on the barrier manners of the mare.
 
ENTERPRISE ATTACK – Bucked in the mounting yard dislodging apprentice C. Sutherland who was examined by the club Doctor and cleared to fulfill his engagement. Began awkwardly. A post race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer P. Minter was advised that a warning would be placed on the pre race manners of the gelding.
 
TEN GOOD REASONS – Raced wide throughout. Inclined to lay in during the early stages of the home straight.
 
CUTEPI – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Made the point of the turn passing the 1000m awkwardly and shifted out.
 
HA’PENNY HATCH – Began very awkwardly with rider M. Rodd becoming unbalanced. Raced wide from the 1000m. Raced in restricted room for a short distance passing the 150m to the inside of SILVER WEDDING which shifted in under riding. R. Maloney, rider of SILVER WEDDING, was advised to exercise more care.
 
STARSARISE – Rider R. King reported that in her opinion, the mare failed to run out the 1400m.
 
BENGAL DIAMOND – Slow to begin. When asked to comment on the seemingly improved performance, trainer A. Campton advised that leading into today’s event BENGAL DIAMOND hasn’t had races run to suit and has been held up for clear running. Today when able to obtain clear running on entering the home straight allowing the mare to have an uninterrupted run to the finish. Stewards noted Mr Campton’s comments.
 
CLASSIQUE GAL – Trainer B. Brown was advised that nominations at Metropolitan meetings would be refused until the mare establishes form at provincial level.
 
 
 
Race 10: XXXX BENCHMARK 78 HANDICAP        1200 Metres
 
HELL – Began awkwardly.
 
SHOW SOME DECORUM – Raced wide throughout.
 
MINTAKA LAD – Connections advised of a change of tactics in that the gelding will be ridden further forward if circumstances permit. Settled midfield.
 
LADY SHOTGUN – Slow to begin. Passing the 800m, had to be steadied to avoid the heels of AMUSEANTES who shifted in and away from SHOW SOME DECORUM, which shifted in marginally.
 
MEAN APPROACH – Began awkwardly.
 
SUPERALLOY – Raced wide throughout.
 
DELEXO – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
ALTERMATUM – Began awkwardly. Apprentice J. Williams was fined $100 pursuant to AR143(12)(b) for failing to provide his apprentice winning rides book. Apprentice Williams was also fined $200 pursuant to AR132(6)(b) for using his whip in an action above shoulder height.
