Stewards permitted the following overweights:

Race 1 - GC SPRING CARNIVAL NOW ON SALE MAIDEN PLATE         1700 M
 
COCCINELLA – Began awkwardly, shifted out and contacted MOTION A NATION, which in turn was taken out onto URBAN PRINCESS, which was taken out onto THE HOPESTAR, which then caused tightening to JUST BEAUTY, which clipped heels and blundered.  Rider N. Heywood reported despite his mount beginning awkwardly, he was able to take advantage of the inside draw and with the lack of speed in the race, settled in the lead.
 
SHREWDNESS (NZ) – Began awkwardly. Laid out approaching the home turn.
 
JUST BEAUTY – Near the 1600m, clipped heels and blundered badling, unbalancing Apprentice S. Champkin, who lost the use of her nearside iron for a short distance.  
 
THE HOPESTAR – After the race, it was noted the mare had lost its off for plate.
 
ALKEBULAN – In the early and middle stages, raced keenly.

URBAN PRINCESS – Had the tongue tie refitted behind the barriers.
 
Race 2 – RACING QUEENSLAND 2026 QTIS TWO-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN PLATE  1000 M
 
PERFECT TENSION – Began awkwardly.
 
SKY JEST – Raced greenly in the home straight.
 
TALK THE TORQUE – Stewards acceded to a late gear application of blinkers and tongue tie for TALK THE TORQUE, which was having its first race start. Trainer S. Morrisey was fined $200 pursuant to AR206(2) for failing to lodge a gear request by the prescribed time. Began very awkwardly, unbalancing rider F. Larson.
 
HIT A LICK – Slow to begin.
 
METRIC – Raced keen early.

QUEEN OLYMPIAS – When under pressure in the home straight, laid out. Rider M. Hellyer was fined $100 pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(i) for use of the whip in consecutive strides prior to the 100m.
 
STORM PETAL – Began awkwardly. Raced wide without cover in the early and middle stages. Raced greenly in the home straight.
 
TASSY DEVIL – Sprawled on leaving the gates.
 
RADOMIR (NZ) – Raced wide approaching and rounding the home turn.
 
Race 3 - NEW MEMBERSHIP SEASON OPEN NOW QTIS TWO-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN PLATE  1000 M

IGNATIUS – Knuckled badly out of the gates and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.  
 
TED LASSO – Began awkwardly.

SOVEREIGN STYLE – Began awkwardly.
 
MISHANI RAINFIRE – Near the 850m, steadied when racing in restricted room.
 
WORTHY SHOT – For a short distance after the start, displayed signs of bucking and became unbalanced. Trainer M. Morrison was advised a warning would be required against the gelding.
 
HAIL AND HARTY – Began awkwardly unbalancing Apprentice M. Apel. Passing the 900m, eased to avoid the heels of MARIA CLARA (F. Larson), which shifted in when not clear. Rider F. Larson was reprimanded pursuant to AR131(a) for careless riding in this incident. Shortly after and when unbalanced, shifted out towards the heels of SUNSET ADIOS, which was shifting in at that time and as a result, was checked. Near the 200m, checked when tightened between TED LASSO (N. Tomizawa), which shifted in after being struck with the whip and was then corrected, and MISHANI RAINFIRE (M. Hellyer), which was shifting ground when laying out. Both N. Tomizawa and M. Hellyer were severely reprimanded pursuant to AR131(a) for careless riding in this incident.
 
Race 4 - MARBURG PACING ASSOCIATION JULY 26 CLASS 5 HANDICAP 1800 M
 
Correct weight was delayed allowing H. Shaw rider of second placegetter LEG DRIVE to view the Stewards footage of the home straight. After doing so, he elected not to pursue the matter further and correct weight was declared.
 
The start of this race was delayed by approximately three (3) minutes due to BIG BOY GEORGE being difficult to load. Trainer S. Croxford was notified a warning would be placed on the gelding.
 
LEG DRIVE – Near the 300m, contacted and carried out when MOONSHINE RUN (App B. Youngberry) shifted out to improve. App B. Youngberry was advised to exercise more care in similar situations.

OLD SONG – In the early stages, raced wide without cover. Rider F. Larson was reminded of his obligations regarding use of the whip forward of the shoulder.

MAD ANA – As App O. Kendal was unable to claim her full allowance and no suitable rider replacements were available, Stewards permitted Apprentice O. Kendal to take the ride on the mare. Apprentice O. Kendal was fined $200 pursuant to AR143(14)(a) for failing to claim her full allowance (1kg of 1.5kg). In the early part of the home straight, had difficulty obtaining clear running.

LAUNCHER – Slow to begin. Near the 200m, raced in restricted room between BIG BOY GEORGE, which shifted out marginally and MOONSHINE RUN, which shifted in marginally.

Race 5 - SUNSHINE COAST TURF CLUB JULY 26 CLASS 2 HANDICAP   1000 M
 
GRAM – Began awkwardly.
 
JIMMYINTHEJUNGLE – Bumped on jumping and turned sideways resulting in the gelding settling further back than expected. Raced keenly in the middle stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have sustained superficial lacerations to the left fore-leg, consistent with being galloped on.  
 
MISS FORCE – Co-Trainer T. Sears was fined $200 pursuant to LR30(1)(b) for MISS FORCE failing to arrive on-course by the prescribed time (35 minutes late). Co-Trainer T. Sears was reprimanded pursuant to AR106(2) for presenting to the mounting enclosure with the incorrect gear (without cross-over noseband).
 
HI TIAGO – Began awkwardly, bumped with JIMMYINTHEJUNGLE and lost ground. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Near the 600m, improved onto heels and steadied.

REVANTAS – Leaving the 100m, was momentarily awkward on the heels of ZAINDARA and obliged to shift out to obtain clear running.
 
THRASH A BULLY – Laid in for a short distance approaching the 600m and became awkward on the heels of ZAINDARA. Raced wide for the majority. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.

Race 6 - TATTERSALLS CLUB BRISBANE QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1200 M
 
HALFACHANCE – Tightened for room at the start between runners.
 
CAT CALL – Rider B. Lerena was severely reprimanded pursuant to AR131(b) for failing to ride his mount out over the final three (3) strides of the race.  
 
CHARLIE TANGO – For some distance approaching and passing the 400m, when attempting to shift out, raced tight to the inside of WARRIOR BAE (N. Heywood), before making contact and unbalancing WARRIOR BAE; and passing the 300m, was carried in by WARRIOR BAE towards the heels of CAT CALL, and steadied. As a result, ODE TO BEAUTY, which was attempting a run to the inside of CHARLIE TANGO (A. Allen), was eased. Riders N. Heywood and A. Allen were notified that their riding throughout the incident bordered on being unacceptable and they must ensure their riding in future is compliant with the Rules.

SWIFT DUKE – Tightened for room at the start between runners. In the early and middle stages, raced keenly.
 
ODE TO BEAUTY – For some distance after the 500m, laid out.
 
Race 7 - TOOWOOMBA TURF CLUB SAT NIGHTS CLASS 4 HANDICAP 1400 M
 
ROCK HARD LOVE – Re-saddled upon arrival to the barriers. Held up for clear running from the 500m until the passing the 400m.

WRIGLEY FIELD – Began awkwardly.

KEIKO SAY – Slow into stride. Raced keen early. Held up from the 500m until shifting in across the heels of PRESTIGE GUNDY near the 100m into clear running.
 
GOT YOURSELF A GUN – Slow to begin.
 
CARDSHARP – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Race 8 - INDUSTRY AWARDS 13 AUGUST BOOK NOW BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP 2233 M

KALKANLI – Bumped at the start.
 
SARAH'S SONNETS – Began awkwardly.
 
PAPAL MISS – Began awkwardly and bumped KALKANLI.
 
WOODLAND WONDER – Bounded as the gates opened. Approaching the 2000m, steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SOUTHBY. In the early and middle stages, raced keenly and on numerous occasions restrained from the heels of runners in front. Co-Trainer D. & M. Scanes was advised a warning would be recorded against WOODLAND WONDER for its racing manners.

Race 9 - THE JACK WILKINSON MEMORIAL CLASS 1 PLATE         1200 M
 
CHIBA – Eased down passing the 200m. Rider A. Thompson could offer no explanation for the performance.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Co-Trainer G. Heinrich was advised a warning would be placed on CHIBA for its poor performance.
 
ROUGH CAUSE – Slow to begin.

SHE OURS – Began awkwardly.

ICYMISS – Rider B. Thornton stated the filly may not have been suited to track conditions.
 
LEBANESE – Apprentice M. Apel reported from the wide gate she was unable to obtain a forward position, so she elected to go back behind the field, however; the filly then seemed to switch off and lost ground. She said she continued to apply pressure to the filly and in the home straight when brought wide, her mount responded and made good ground in the run to the winning post.

JACK'S BOOM – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after resuming from an extended period.
