Race 1: Carlton Mid BM 50 Handicap- 850 metres
MIDNIGHT CURFEW was declared a late scratching at 8.34am when no rider was available.
HIS REDEMPTION was declared a late scratching at 12.18pm when no rider was available.
DOUBTFUL PRINCE was scratched due to no available rider.
RUN ‘EM RAGGED- Made contact with another runner on jumping.
LET’S SKEDADDLE- Made contact with another runner on jumping.
Race 2: Green Pepper Maiden Plate- 850 metres
COURTNEY’S CAT- Began a little awkwardly and lost some ground. Near 600 metres, shifted wider on the track.
PERFUME PASSION- Raced wide throughout.
DYNAMIC DRAGON- In the straight, laid in.
Race 3: Happy Valentine’s Day Open Handicap- 850 metres
HALLE CAT- Declared a late scratching at 8.39am. Whilst the notification of scratching was late, taking into account the circumstances, Stewards took no action.
FINAL CHAPTER- Accidently struck over the head by the whip of another rider.
Race 4: Lily Hair Class 3 Plate- 1194 metres
GAS BURNER- Declared a late scratching at 8.34am due to no available rider.
BRADBURY’S QUEST- Declared a late scratching at 8.32am due to no available rider.
INTRUDING- Jumped out and made contact with KING KAHN and lost some ground.
SPOOKY MOO- Laid in in the straight.
SILENT GEE- Near the 400 metres, resented racing to the inside of KING KAHN, eased and lost ground.
Race 5: Butler & Sons Class B Handicap- 1517 metres
GLENROCK MAX- Declared a late scratching at 8.32am. A $100 fine will be imposed under AR 114.
NOSTIC- Difficult to load.
EIGHTMATES and WEEKEND SAVIOUR- Raced wide throughout.
EIGHTMATES- Was significantly lame in the off foreleg and unable to be ridden to the enclosure post-race. Rider weighed in without issue. Following the collection of a swab sample, a veterinary inspection did not reveal any reason for the previous lameness and was not exhibiting any sign of lameness post-race. Given the significant lameness immediately post-race, a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to its next race start.
