GENERAL
Following overweights were permitted:
Race 3 – Chris Taylor +1 (56kg)
As rider B Stower was unable to attend today’s meeting, changes were made as per the Raceday Summary Report.
B Stower was advised a medical clearance would be required prior to race riding again.
Race 1:THE LARDER/ SHOT 2 U MAIDEN PLATE (2YO & UP) 1400m
POWERFUL WARRIOR – Near the 800m was eased off heels when racing keen. Laid in under pressure over the final 200m despite the efforts of its rider.
WINNING WILL – Commenced to lose ground from the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
RUBY DU JEU – Raced keen early.
OUTLIER – App M Goring replaced B Stower and was permitted to ride +.5kg(57kg) as no other suitable riders were available. Buffeted between runners shortly after the start and lost ground.
Race 2: TUCKWELL TRANSPORT/ TOMS TARPS BM55 HANDICAP 1400m
TRAPEZE LEGEND – Raced keen early stages.
GRAND CRUSADER – Raced wide from the 600m.
SOMETHING FORJO – Slow to begin.
INVISIBLE TARGET – Raced wide for the majority.
SILVER GLITTER – Slow to begin.
SUISSE SCANDAL (NZ) - Raced wide for the majority.
Race 3:GUNDY MECHANICAL/ MAKIM BUILDERS CLASS B HANDICAP 1200m
STARTLING CAT – Commenced to lose ground from the 500m. When questioned, App M Goring stated the gelding did not travel comfortably throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
VIZSTAR – Laid in under pressure over the final 100m.
MISS DRAMATIC – Raced wide throughout.
RAINSITPOURS (GB) – Began fairly.
Race 4:COMBINED BOOKMAKERS BM55 HANDICAP 1000m
SCARLETT THUNDER – Passing the 800m was momentarily eased when AYE EYE BOOM (App J Emmerson) shifted in when insufficiently clear. App J Emmerson was reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(a) for this incident.
FITZROY BOY – Shifted in on jumping crowding runners to its inside. App M Goring was reprimanded under the provisions of AR 131(b) for failing to ride his mount out to the finish line.
MY TURN ASTERN – Bumped heavily on jumping and lost ground.
SIMPLY TINA – Bumped heavily on jumping becoming momentarily unbalanced.
Race 5:YOUNG GUNS LADIES’ BRACELET OPEN HANDICAP 1000m
SMILING ZAC (NZ) – Began awkwardly and bumped.
JEMELDI – Bumped on jumping and was slow into stride. Laid in under pressure near the 100m.
ELUSIVE EAGLE – Shifted in soon after jumping crowding running to the inside.
JET EMPRESS – Bumped on jumping.
READY AND MABEL – Hampered and bumped with JET EMPRESS soon after the start when ELUSIVE EAGLE (App M Goring) shifted in. App M Goring was reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(a) for this incident. Raced wide throughout.
EVOCATOR – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
