SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
M Butler was unable to ride at today’s meeting due to injury. Stewards advised M Butler that a medical clearance would be required prior to him riding again. Rider replacements as per the summary report.


GENERAL

RACE 1: GYMPIE ONCOURSE BOOKMAKERS BM50 HANDICAP – 850M
 
PAPER COWBOY – Began awkwardly and shifted in onto STOP THE ROT. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
ABOUT RIGHT – Made the crossing at the 800m awkwardly. Inclined to lay in rounding the home turn. Apprentice S Tierney reported that her left elbow made heavy contact with the barriers on jumping away.
 
NINE CIGARS – Began awkwardly and shifted out onto THE DEVASTATOR.
 
STOP THE ROT – Hampered at the start and lost ground when PAPER COWBOY shifted in. Made the crossing at the 800m awkwardly.
 
SIMPLY TINA – Hung out near the 600m.
 
THE DEVASTATOR – Inconvenienced at the start when NINE CIGARS began awkwardly and shifted out. Became awkwardly placed when SIMPLY TINA hung out near the 600m.
 
RACE 2: AJT LEGAL QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1030M
 
COLUMBIA REEF – Began awkwardly and bumped with DOUBTFUL ANGEL
 
STRAZ DANZ – Obliged to check near the 50m when CHANTILLY QUEEN was taken out.
 
CHANTILLY QUEEN – Taken out near the 50m onto STRAZ DANZ when HERE’S MAGIC shifted out when tiring.
 
DOUBTFUL ANGEL – Hampered at the start when COLUMBIA REEF began awkwardly. Made the crossing at the 800m awkwardly. Apprentice K Johnston stated that in her opinion, DOUBTFUL ANGEL may not have handled the sand track conditions.
 
HERE’S MAGIC – Commenced to weaken in the home straight and near the 50m shifted out when tiring onto CHANTILLY QUEEN.
 
RACE 3: 4TINT2U COOLOOLA WINDOW TINTING SIGNS & DESIGNS BENCHMARK 75 HANDICAP – 1030M
 
Prior to the running of this race IMMORTAL LASS underwent a veterinary examination in the mounting yard and was found to have swelling and a laceration to the off-hind leg. Stewards subsequently declared IMMORTAL LASS a late scratching on veterinary advice at 2:52pm. Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Stewards declared that all bets placed on IMMORTAL LASS were to be refunded with the following deductions to apply:
1st – HOLIDAY DREAMS 3c win, 5c place
2nd – GOLD REVOLUTION 5c place.
Trainer J Hancock was advised that IMMORTAL LASS would require a veterinary certificate prior to accepting for a future jump out, trial or race. Trainer J Hancock pleaded guilty to a charge and fined the sum of $400 pursuant to AR105(1)(d), in that being the trainer of IMMORTAL LASS, he failed to notify stewards of an injury to that mares off-hind leg in that being, swelling and a laceration which resulted in IMMORTAL LASS being deemed unfit to start on veterinary advice and was subsequently declared a late scratching. Trainer J Hancock was also issued with a reprimand pursuant to AR107(1)(d) in that he failed to properly fit the front shoes for that mare.
 
Due to the late scratching of IMMORTAL LASS, the start of this event was delayed approximately 4 minutes.
 
I SEE YOU COMING – Trainer T Thomas was issued a reprimand pursuant to AR106(2) for presenting I SEE YOU COMING in the incorrect gear.
 
RACE 4: CHERIE CARLSON REAL ESTATE BM55 HANDICAP – 1170M
 
TROUVE – Slow to begin.
 
LATE NIGHT DEVIL – Jockey K Gates reported that she bumped with CAPIANA approaching the home turn.
 
RACE 5: JUSTBOARDS.COM.AU BM50 HANDICAP – 1470M
 
WAR TOO ALL – Slow to begin.
 
SILVER GLITTER – Stood flat footed on jumping and lost significant ground. Trainer K O’Neill was advised that SILVER GLITTER would require a further barrier certificate prior to accepting for a future race. Trainer K O’Neill reported that it would be their intention to send SILVER GLITTER for a spell and consider the mares future racing career.
 
THE PUBLICAN – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
 
HALF MOON ROO – Apprentice K Johnston reported that she felt HALF MOON ROO raced keenly with the gear change of winkers on, first time.
 
ABSOLVE – Trainer J Hancock advised that ABSOLVE would attempt to lead in today’s event. Ridden accordingly and then commenced to weaken from near the 900m.
 
PAULI – Trainer L Wanless was issued a reprimand pursuant to AR106(2) for presenting PAULI in the incorrect gear.
