RACE 1 – EXPERIENCE ‘THE TERRACE’ ON LADIES DAY BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 850M
 
GOLD REVOLUTION – Tightened near the 550m when NINE CIGARS (C. Meehan) shifted in. Jockey C. Meehan was advised to exercise more care pursuant to AR131(a) for careless riding, in similar circumstances.
 
LEVAR – Slow to begin.
 
NINE CIGARS – Began awkwardly.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
RACE 2 – CELEBRATING 30 YEARS NOLAN MUSTER CUP AUGUST 22 CLASS B HANDICAP – 1030M
 
LA SUERTE – Steadied and lost ground near the 850m when EMBEZZLES (S. Tiereney) shifted in. Apprentice S. Tierney was reprimanded for careless riding pursuant to AR131(a) for this incident. When asked to comment on the performance of LA SUERTE in todays event, apprentice S. Wilcock stated that LA SUERTE failed to handle the sand kick back from the middle stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
RACE 3 – GYMPIE RSL CRYSTAL VASE SEPTEMBER 19 MAIDEN PLATE – 1170M
 
SILVER STREAK – Raced wide throughout.
 
PORCELAIN PRINCE – After making the crossing near the 750m, became unbalanced. When asked to comment on the performance of PORCELAIN PRINCE in todays event, apprentice K. Johnston stated that the gelding failed to muster early speed despite her urgings and was unable to remain in touch with the main body of the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer J. Townsend advised stewards that the connections will retire the gelding from racing.
 
NOT HAPPENING – Began awkwardly and bumped with SHAMIELA (R. Wilson).
 
SHAMIELA – Bumped with NOT HAPPENING (C. Meehan) on jumping away. Took no competitive part in today’s event. Jockey R. Wilson reported that the mare hung out throughout the event and proved difficult to steer. Trainer W. Kuskopf was advised that SHAMIELA would now be required to trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to accepting for a future race.
 
SUBTLE HINTS – Hampered and lost ground at the start when SORT OF IN LOVE (M. Kennedy) began awkwardly and shifted in.
 
SORT OF IN LOVE - Began awkwardly and shifted in onto SUBTLE HINTS (S. Wilcock). Lost the off-hind shoe in running. When asked to comment on the performance of SORT OF IN LOVE in today’s event, jockey M. Kennedy stated that the filly travelled well in the early stages but then proved disappointing when placed under pressure in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be lame in the off-hind leg. Trainer D. Stanbridge was advised that SORT OF IN LOVE would now require a veterinary certificate prior to accepting for a future jump out, trial or race.

SEA COMMITS – Began awkwardly and shifted in onto MISHANI AZTEC (M. Kennedy).
 
COSMIC PROPORTIONS – Slow to begin.
 
MISHANI AZTEC -  Hampered at the start and lost ground when CAPIANA (E. Simsir) began awkwardly and shifted out and SEA COMMITS (S. Wilcock) began awkwardly and shifted in. 
 
CAPIANA – Began awkwardly and shifted out onto MISHANI AZTEC (M. Kennedy).
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
RACE 5 – 4TINT2U COOLOOLA WINDOW TINTING SIGNS & DESIGN 5K CASH GIVEAWAY NOV 21 BENCHMARK 65 HCP – 1470M
 
RAFFISH – Slow to begin. Took no competitive part in today’s event. When asked to comment on the performance of RAFFISH in today’s event, jockey R. Wilson stated that the gelding failed to muster early speed despite her urgings and was unable to remain in touch with the main body of the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed RAFFISH to be lame in the off foreleg. Trainer W. Kuskopf was advised that RAFFISH would now be required to trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to accepting for a future race, as well as a veterinary certificate prior to accepting for a future jump out, trial or race.
 
RAPID DUDE - Over raced in the early stages of the event.
 
MEKANIC – Over raced and was inclined to hang out for the majority of the event.
