Race 1: THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1460M

MISSION HOUSE - Laid out in the early part of the home straight.

BEPPE - Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
CONVERTOR – Had to be steadied shortly after entering the home straight after laying in across the heels of MISSION HOUSE before shifting across the heels of ELLEVES to gain clear running leaving the 150 metres.
 
ELLEVES – Held up for a short distance passing the 500 metres before shifting wider to gain clear running.
 
Race 2: NEVER GIVE UP BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1200M

KING’S CASTLE – Slow to begin before shifting behind runners in the early stages.  Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
CONSIDER IT READY – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
Race 3: TOGETHER WE CAN MAIDEN Plate 1000M

SAVVY MONK – Began awkwardly.
 
VAGABOND PRINCE - Shifted in abruptly shortly after the start hampering ARTURETTA.
 
ZABOOG - Began very awkwardly and shifted out causing SPRING’S GIFT to be buffeted. On returning to scale, rider Shae Neilson reported to stewards that ZABOOG laid out throughout the event placing her at a disadvantage.
 
ALPINE POWER – Slow into stride.
 
CHARGIN’ – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
ARTURETTA – Badly hampered shortly after the start when VAGABOND PRINCE shifted in.
 
SPRING’S GIFT - Buffeted between runners shortly after the start.Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
FROSTY QUEEN - Raced wide throughout. Gave ground over the concluding stages.
 
Race 4: SUNSHINE & STARS OPEN Plate 1000M

OUTBACK ACTION - Contacted the running rail passing the 700 metres.
 
RUBUNKAR - Contacted the side of the barriers on jumping away. Laid in through the early part of the home straight.
 
SUCH A WHIT – Began awkwardly. Outpaced in the early stages and settled well back. When questioned on the performance, rider Justin Stanley stated that SUCH A WHIT would be better suited over a longer distance.
 
CAPTAIN BOND – When questioned regarding the run of the heavily supported CAPTAIN BOND, rider Wanderson D’Avila stated after beginning fairly, he elected to move the gelding forward to lead, however after obtaining the lead, CAPTAIN BOND over-raced throughout which may have proved detrimental to the horse’s chances. Rider D’Avila added that given the horse had not raced for an extended period, he was pleased with the gelding’s overall performance today.
 
Race 5: DREAM BIG QTIS BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1000M

JUNGLE JUICE – Approaching the 700-metre mark, rider Justin Stanley’s saddle shifted backwards, placing JUNGLE JUICE at a significant disadvantage for the remainder of the event.
 
BELLA ACE – Bumped with NANO STAR on jumping. Laid out rounding the final turn.
 
NANO STAR – Bumped with BELLA ACE on jumping.
 
SPIRITED – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
ALLEZ PARIS – Became awkwardly placed on the heels of REMEMBER ROY after failing to negotiate the first corner correctly.
 
TERMINUS – Began very awkwardly and settled back.

Stewards inquired into an incident approaching the 700-metre mark when the field was negotiating the turn. At that point, ALLEZ PARIS, which was being restrained, got its head up while racing to the inside of REMEMBER ROY, which was improving forward to take the lead. After interviewing the respective riders Olivia Kendal (ALLEZ PARIS) and Graham Kliese (REMEMBER ROY), and reviewing the race footage, it was established that ALLEZ PARIS had failed to negotiate the turn correctly, becoming awkwardly placed near the heels of REMEMBER ROY as a result. Given the circumstances and the evidence presented, stewards determined that no further action was warranted.
 
Race 6: UNICORNS & FAIRIES CLASS 4 Handicap 1180M

SIR MAXIMUS – Shifted in on jumping severely hampering SOOZIE MAREE then shortly afterwards was buffeted between runners. Laid out rounding the final turn. Became awkwardly placed on the compounding THE SHERPA rounding the final turn before shifting wider to obtain clear running.
 
THE SHERPA – Raced keenly when leading in the early stages. Gave ground quickly rounding the final turn and was not persevered with in the final straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a significant injury to the off-side sesamoid region. Trainer Alby Molino advised Stewards that the gelding would not be persevered with as a racing proposition, nonetheless, should the gelding be recommissioned a veterinary clearance would be required prior to THE SHERPA racing or trialing again.
 
ENCROACHMENT – Severely hampered on jumping away. Raced wide throughout.
 
SOOZIE MAREE – Jumped in at the start severely hampering SOOZIE MAREE. Raced keenly in the early stages
 
Race 7: ELENNA’S FIGHT BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1180M

MISHANI AVIATOR – Began awkwardly. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
FAITH OVER FEAR – Slow to begin from a wide barrier.
 
THUNDER MOON – Raced wide with cover throughout.

JUST FOR PLEASURE – Bumped with TSUNAMI FORCE on jumping. Raced wide without cover throughout. Laid in through the early part of the home straight.
 
SIMPLY DIVINE – Approaching the final turn, improved onto the heels of RAPID POWER and had to be heavily restrained. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room over the concluding stages.
 
TSUNAMI FORCE – Bumped with JUST FOR PLEASURE on jumping.
 
RAPID POWER – Slow into stride.
