Race 7. Jockey D. Simmons, rider of She Bee Stingin’, was reprimanded for using his whip in consecutive strides prior to the 100m

Race 1: Hot FM Maiden H’cap – 1300m

LOGAN’S RUN – Shortly after the start the near-side winker on the horse became detached.

Race 2: Blacks Real Estate Class 2 H’cap – 1300m

ROCKIN’ READY – Slow to begin after standing awkwardly in the barriers.

ESPRIT LIGHT – Had difficulty obtaining clear running for some distance in the early part of the straight.

RED BOHEMIA – Laid in under pressure passing the 200m, then became awkward on heels and blundered.

AUTHENTIC SWING – A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be sore in front. Trainer Mr I. Shaw was advised he must provide a veterinary clearance prior to its next race start.
Race 3: Great Northern BenchMark 65 H’cap – 1800m

CEBILE – Bumped and carried wider rounding the turn near the 600m.

ABSOLUTELYANYTHING – Raced greenly in the early stages.

NOT SO SOBER – Raced 3 wide without cover in the middle stages.

IDLE SITUATION - Lost its near hind plate in running.

Race 4: Daily Mercury 3yo Maiden H’cap – 1200m

SAURABH – After being fractious in the barriers had to be resaddled and then underwent a veterinary examination which cleared the horse fit to start. Raced ungenerously and refused to settle, when being restrained in the early stages in an attempt to find cover.

SWEET MARCIA – Slow to begin.

SLIP RAIL – Slow to begin. Raced in restricted room for a short distance passing the 200m.

ARGENTINA – Began awkwardly.

LOVE A RAINY NIGHT – Held up on the heels of a weakening running for some distance in the early part of the straight.


Race 5: Merry Xmas BenchMark 70 H’cap – 1200m

TESTATIME – Declared a late scratching at 8.34 am on veterinary advice which revealed soreness in its near fore hoof. Trainer M. Dale was advised he would have to provide a veterinary certificate of fitness prior to the horse racing again.

BON TEMPS – Buffeted between runners at the start. Severely checked and lost ground near the 600m.

KUAIMA – Crowded for room and had to be steadied shortly after the start. Shifted in and away from another runner rounding the turn near the 600m and made contact with the rail, resulting in its rider becoming unbalanced and ultimately having to restrain his mount out of the race. BON TEMPS, which was following, having to be checked and lost ground. Trainer Mr M. Evans was advised that gelding must perform competitive in a trial prior to racing again.

SHEPIKTUS – Jockey A. Coome reported on return to scale that his mount never travelled comfortably throughout and was under pressure prior to straightening and from that point failed to respond to his urging.

Race 6: Become A MTC Member For 2016 BenchMark 55 H’cap – 1050m

KILLER WASP – Bumped shortly after the start.

DE MESTRE – Bumped shortly after the start.

LA RIVE DROITE – Raced greenly in the middle stages.

MISS CHARISMA – When questioned, rider A. Butler stated his mount never travelled comfortably at any stage and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainer Mr R Vale advised that the horse would now be spelled.
