RACE 1: RADIO 4AM QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1010 Metres
 
BUBBLE TEA – The start was delayed when BUBBLE TEA slipped over in the tie-up stalls prior to the race and was declared a late scratching on veterinary advice at 1.04pm by order of stewards. On the announcement of correct weight all monies invested on BUBBLE TEA were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable to bets placed on the winner and placegetter prior to 1.04pm:

12 cents in the dollar for the win XINGXING. 
14 cents in the dollar for the place of winner XINGXING.  
14 cents in the dollar for 2nd place LICHFIELD ANGEL.
 
Trainer A. Holmes was advised a veterinary clearance of fitness would be required prior to BUBBLE TEA racing or trialing again.
  
LICHFIELD ANGEL – Slow to begin and was then hampered when bumped by WICKED RED SOCKS which began awkwardly and shifted in at the start.
 
WICKED RED SOCKS – Began awkwardly and shifted in bumping LICHFIELD ANGEL.
 
MONTY ROAD – Raced greenly when struck with the whip for a short distance leaving the 200 metres. Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
RACE 2: MAREEBA MAZDA BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 1010 Metres
 
MISS MOLOKAI – Slow to begin.
 
GAMADALE NIP – Bounded in the air as the start was effected and lost ground. Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
RACATOON – Put in two awkward strides soon after the start and shifted in crowding DEAL AN ACE when improving forward and when being steadied the pace slackened further inconveniencing DEAL AN ACE. KITEMA which was racing to the inside of DEAL AN ACE was also crowded in this incident. Trainer A. Ryan was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing manners.    
 
DEAL AN ACE – Crowded for room soon after the start and was steadied and was further inconvenienced shortly after when the pace slackened.
 
KITEMA – Crowded for room shortly after the start.    
 
RACE 3: CHEER A VOLUNTEER OPEN HANDICAP – 1123 Metres
 
OLYMPIC KORCHNOI (NZ) – Improved onto heels near the 500 metres and was steadied.
 
YAMABUSHI – Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
LUCKY ROLLA – Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the race.  
 
RACE 4: KEN GREGG CONSTRUCTIONS CLASS 3 PLATE – 1210 Metres
 
MATERIALIST – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
RACE 5: PATRONS CUP RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 HANDICAP – 1500 Metres
 
The start was delayed due to LUCKY JIM shifting a plate in the tie-up area prior to the race requiring farrier attention.
 
GRIGIA – Stewards accepted the explanation tendered for the late declaration of rider for the mare.             
 
THIRD MASTER – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
FLOURISH – Momentarily steadied off heels near the 400 metres.
