Race 1: Christmas Benchmark 70 Handicap 1450 metres:
1st – ALL FIVES 2nd – STRUMMING 3rd – MIO GEM 4th – MIATOKO

POMATINI – When no other rider was available stewards permitted M Cummings to ride the gelding 1.5kg over its declared weight. Slow into stride then made contact with another runner.

MIATOKO – Made contact with another runner at the start. Raced wide rounding the home turn.

MIO GEM – Raced wide rounding the 1200m and home turns.

STRUMMING – Raced wide rounding the 1200m turn.

TOP EAGLE – Apprentice T Tincknell reported that her mount failed to travel at any stage and was disappointing. A post race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

Race 2: Happy New Year Benchmark 65 Handicap 1000 metres:
1st – PISMO BEACH 2nd – PEG LEG 3rd – GESTICULATION 4th – COMMANDING SPUR

Jockey T Chambers was reprimanded under AR120(b) for accepting a ride on GESTICULATION when subsequently overweight. When no other rider was available stewards permitted T Chambers to ride the gelding .5kg over its declared weight.

VOLATILE ROSE – Slow to begin then raced wide throughout.

TOO MANY LIES – Raced wide throughout.

PEG LEG – Raced wide throughout.

Race 3: Hospital Staff Maiden Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – FIRSTINBESTDRESSED 2nd – OLLIE OOBA 3rd – LIBERTY MARKET 4th – FASHION KURV

SAINT MARY MAC – Was reluctant to load in the barriers. Bumped at the start. Raced wide in the back straight.

HALF A DANISH – Bumped at the start.

Race 4: Doctors & Nurses QTIS Class 1 Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – MIMI’S ROCKET 2nd – BOWLED OVER 3rd – PEEKING LUCK 4th – CHATEAU D’OR

ELKALATO – Was a late withdrawal at 1.30pm when no rider was available.

SERENE ROCKET – When no other rider was available stewards permitted M Cummings to ride the mare 1kg over its declared weight.

I’M DESPERATE TOO – Reared as a start was effected and lost considerable ground. Trainer Mr R Burrows was advised that the gelding must obtain a further barrier certificate.

PALEO – Stood flat footed at the start and lost significant ground. Trainer Ms T Parry was advised that the gelding must obtain a further barrier certificate.

MIMI’S ROCKET – Raced wide rounding the 600m turn. Apprentice reported that her mount struck its head in the barriers as a start was effected. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have blood in its mouth.

PEEKING LUCK – Raced wide rounding the 600m and home turn.

CHATEAU D’OR – Raced wide throughout.

Race 5: Hospital Social Club Open Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – FORTZA 2nd – ROCKET ON BY 3rd – ITZA BLUR 4th – BUENA VIDA

ITZABLUR – When no other rider was available stewards permitted T Chambers to ride the gelding 1kg over its declared weight.

ROCKET ON BY - When no other rider was available stewards permitted A Spradau to ride the gelding 1.5kg over its declared weight.

GAILAMOUR – Raced wide throughout.
