RACE 1: CONGRATS WENDY CHRISTIE ON LOCAL WIN OPEN HANDICAP –BASE RATING 60 (1200m)
Romani Star – Declared a late scratching at 1.30 pm due to no rider being available.
Experienced -  Failed to muster early speed despite the efforts of its rider.
Hammerfest -  Slow to begin. Hung in under pressure over the final 200m. Rider reported he was of the opinion the mare did not appreciate the kick back.
Leapin Lena – Raced three wide early.
 
 
RACE 2: CAVA BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP- BASE RATING 50 (1450m)
World of Pain – Difficult to load and a warning was issued.
Fine Fergus – Fractious in the barriers and was slow to muster early speed.
My Crimson Lad – Very slow to begin and lost considerable ground, a warning would be placed on the gelding regarding its starting manners.
 
 
RACE 3: REMPLOY BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – BASE RATING 50 (1000m)
No racing Incidents.
 
 
 
 
RACE 4: SUNSET BUTCHERY CLASS 2 PLATE (1200m)
Five Spices – Declared a late scratching at 4.03 pm on Stewards orders after it broke thru the barriers, dislodging its rider and travelling an excessive distance. Jockey A Spradau was not injured.
All monies invested were subject to deductions as follows.
39 cents in the dollar for the win - #7(Senseofwonder)
36 cents in the dollar for the place  - #7 (Senseofwonder)
33 cents in the dollar for the  place - #6 (Denlago)
(no deductions for 3rd place)
Carry to Gold – Raced three wide for the majority.
Denlago – Stumbled on jumping and lost considerable ground. Slow to muster despite the efforts of its rider.
 
RACE 5: ATOM MOUNT ISA MAIDEN PLATE (1000m)
Devils Fire – Shifted wider approaching the 1200m. Jockey Babarovich when questioned regarding today’s disappointing performance stated that gelding was up significantly in weight and felt it had a bearing on its performance. A post race veterinary examination failed to find any apparent abnormalities.

Last Side – Raced  three wide throughout.
