SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT





GENERAL

Due to a major traffic incident all races were rescheduled as follows.

Race 1 – 6.38pm

Race 2 – 7.08pm

Race 3 – 7.38pm

Race 4 – 8.08pm

Race 5 – 8.38pm

Race 6 – 9.08pm

Race 7 – 9.43pm

Race 8 – 10.15pm



Prior to the running of Race 1, the track was upgraded to Soft 5.



Rider changes are as per the Race Day Summary.



Race 4 - Jockey A Thompson was fined $100 pursuant to AR190(3) for accepting a ride when overweight.







RACE 1: BARRIER REEF POOLS MAIDEN HANDICAP 1000 M





DRAGON LINK – Began awkwardly and shifted out.



KHOIRGIRL – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.



RALOS STAR – Began awkwardly unbalancing its rider. Raced greenly when placed under pressure in the home straight. Near the 250m was obliged to shift out to avoid the heels of the weakening LIRA.



LIRA – Raced greenly whilst weakening in the home straight. Rider reported that the mare felt awkward in its action. A post veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.



GOD ONLY KNOWS – Began awkwardly and shifted out. Rider reported post-race that near the 800m he had concerns with his mounts action and was inclined to hang out from the 600m until entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer T McEvoy was advised that the filly would be required to trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to resuming.





RACE 2: AUSTRALIAN ENERGY ANALYTICS BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1000 M



CUSTO – Bumped on jumping.



NEW HAMPSHIRE – Began awkwardly and lost ground.



PROVANCE –Began awkwardly and shifted in. Hung in throughout particularly over the final 100m and proved difficult to ride. Stable Foreperson for M Currie was advised that a warning would be placed on the geldings racing manners.



HEART AND SPIRIT – Raced in restricted room near the100m when PROVANCE laid in despite the efforts of its rider.



MAKE IT SO – Taken wider near the 600m when PROVANCE shifted out to improve.



TERRITORY ASH –Began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped with CUSTO. Raced wide.



BETTY MAUD – Rider reported that in her opinion the mare may have come to the end of its preparation. Trainer G Duncan reported it was his likely intention to send the mare for a short spell.





RACE 3: BATTERY WISE SUNSHINE COAST QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP 1200 M



HARD KNOX – Trainer S Kendrick was fined $100 pursuant to LR67(1) for failing to notify a rider by the prescribed time. Blundered on jumping. Raced wide.



BENT BRIDGE – Weakened over the concluding stages. Rider reported the gelding felt awkward in its action over the concluding stages and raced greenly throughout. A post race veterinary examination found the gelding to be lame in its off hind. Trainer B Gorman was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to resuming.



BOSSIRI – Trainer T Mackinnon was reprimanded pursuant to AR296(2)(d) for failing to notify a change of race colours. Trainer T Mackinnon was fined $100 pursuant to AR106(1) for presenting the filly with incorrect gear. Bumped at the start and was slow to begin before racing greenly throughout.



FLYING PHOENIX – Over raced when restraining for cover in the early stages and raced ungenerously for a short distance.



RUSSIANTOTHEPOST – Blundered on jumping.



EMPHATIQUE – Raced in restricted room near the 800m. Held up from the home turn until near the 250m.



SILVER SMASH – Raced in restricted room near the 800m. Raced wide.



PACIERA – Trainer M Currie was fined $100 for presenting the filly with incorrect gear. Began awkwardly and lost ground. Held up home turn and early part of home straight. Near the 200m raced in restricted room when RUSSIANTOTHEPOST shifted in. Held up over the final 100m.



VERY DEMURE – Began awkwardly and lost ground,



INQUICKTIME – Bumped shortly after the start. Raced wide.







RACE 4: GO TRANSIT MEDIA GROUP CLASS 4 HANDICAP 1400 M



LIBERTY STEPS – Bumped on jumping.



CAN'T GETWHATIWANT - Hung in when placed under pressure in the home straight.



AMBASSADORS – Began awkwardly,



MAPLE DOOR – Bumped on jumping. Hung in when placed under pressure in the home straight.



RAPID DUDE – Slow to begin.





RACE 5: PARKLANDS TAVERN BENCHMARK 62 HANDICAP 1400 M



MONASTERY – Began awkwardly.



ECHO HUNTER – Carried wider near the 1200m when SOCKEMSID shifted out when over racing.



OUR ORATOR – Slow to begin.



BATEMANS BAY (FR) – Hampered near the 1200m and obliged to shift out.



SOCK'EMSID – Over raced near the 1200m and shifted out.



LONE FORCE – Awkward at heels between the 450m and 400m when ONE BEAT NO BEAT shifted out. Near the 400m obliged to alter course to secure clear running.



BRAZEN KINGDOM (NZ) – Began awkwardly.



MATERIALIST – Trainer B Healey was fined $100 pursuant to LR67(1) for failing to notify a rider by the prescribed time.



PARIAH ENGAGEMENT – Obliged to alter course near the 200m when placed at the heels of the weakening ONE BEAT NO BEAT.



XTRA LA VITA – Hampered shortly after the start. Obliged to alter course near the 50m when placed at the heels of the weakening ONE BEAT NO BEAT.



ROYAL GLADIATOR – Began awkwardly and shifted in.



CHANCE WITH WOLVES – Began awkwardly.





RACE 6: PERREN & PENNY PLUMBING BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1800 M





SIR GOLDALOT – Checked near the 200m. App Jockey C Sutherland rider of MAKAMAE pled not guilty to a charge of careless riding in that near the 200m he failed to stop riding and straighten his mount when shifting wider under pressure forcing TAP HIGH to shift out, forcing ALPINE KANDY wider contributing to SIR GOLDALOT being tightened for room causing SIR GOLDALOT to be checked. App Sutherland was subsequently found guilty of this charge and his license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 4 days from midnight 17/1/26 until midnight 21/1/26. App Jockey L Martyn rider of ALPINE KANDY pled guilty to a charge of careless riding in that near the 200m when placing her mount under pressure, failed to stop riding and straighten her mount, which shifted out when not clear of SIR GOLDALOT tightening that runner and contributing to that runner being checked as a result. App Martyn’s license to ride in races was subsequently suspended for a period of 2 days to commence midnight 16/1/26 until midnight 18/1/26.



CANADIAN EXPRESS – Raced wide.



TAP HIGH – Carried wider near the 200m.



ALPINE KANDY – Raced wide. Carried wider near the 200m.



PAPAL MISS – Slow to begin.



PRIDE OF SAVABELLA – Fractious in the barriers. Restrained at the start from the wide barrier. Improved onto heels near the 200m and obliged to shift in to secure clear running.



MAKAMAE (NZ) – Fractious in the barriers. Shifted out when placed under pressure near the 200m.



WHATJEUDOIN' – Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the home straight.





RACE 7: PADDY WALSH PAINTING & SOLID PLASTERING MAIDEN HANDICAP 1800 M



JUST BEAUTY – Began awkwardly.



VAL DE GRISE – Slow to begin.



ESPOIR DA TAP – Over raced near the 1500m, steadied from heels and shifted out, continued to over race for some distance. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight. When asked to comment on the perceived improved performance, trainer K Taplin, noted that the filly was stepping up to a more suitable distance and with the addition of blinkers had expected an improved performance. Stewards noted the comments.



BATTLE WORTHY – Raced wide. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.



ALASKA DE LUNE – Held up rounding the home turn until near the 300m.



HOPETOUN PARK – Over raced when attempting to restrain for cover near the 1600m.Raced wide.



MONTEVECCHIO – Commenced to weaken rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.



RED VEGAS - Very slow to begin. Performed poorly. A post-race veterinary examination determined it to be exhibiting clinical signs of the thumps.





RACE 8: TAB RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 HANDICAP 1000 M





PUROSANGUE – Laid out rounding the home turn and continued to lay out in the home straight.



BEACHSIDE BABE – Bumped on jump and became unbalanced. Raced wide.



MISS MERCY – Bumped shortly after the start. Jockey J Bayliss was reprimanded pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(1) for using the whip on consecutive strides prior to the 100m.





ASTERN VILLA – Trainer J Johnston was fined $100 pursuant to LR67(1) for failing to notify a rider by the prescribed time. Raced wide.





DASHING HOPE – Began awkwardly and shifted in. Held up near the 300m and shifted out to improve.



EXTREME ALLY – Buffeted between runners on jumping.



POWERALONG – Bumped shortly after the start.



PREVARICATE – Slow to begin.
