RACE 1: BILOELA PLUMBING WORKS RATINGS BAND 0-50 HANDICAP (1075M)
Stewards conducted an inquiry into an incident that occurred shortly after the start of the race, during which CRAIGLEA BRONTE, ridden by apprentice Nikki Olzard, lost ground after being required to steady. Evidence was taken from apprentice Amie Meissner (PHIL UP), jockey Raul Silvera Olivera (LITTLE FREDDY), apprentice Nikki Olzard (CRAIGLEA BRONTE), jockey Adam Spinks (FLAWLESS AMBITION), jockey Adam Sewell (SWEET MOLLY), and apprentice Jacallen Dooley (SUPER SLICK), in the presence of senior rider Chris McIver. After reviewing the available replays and considering all evidence provided, it was established that LITTLE FREDDY, positioned to the inside of CRAIGLEA BRONTE, began to hang outwards at the time of the incident. Simultaneously, FLAWLESS AMBITION shifted inwards momentarily, which placed pressure on CRAIGLEA BRONTE and caused the mare to be eased. Based on the evidence of all riders and available footage, stewards were unable to conclusively attribute the interference experienced by CRAIGLEA BRONTE to the actions of any one rider or horse, and as such, the incident was deemed a racing incident, and no further action was taken.
LITTLE FREDDY – Inclined to hang outwards shortly after the start.
CRAIGLEA BRONTE – In the vicinity of the 900m, had to be eased when LITTLE FREDDY was inclined to hang outwards and FLAWLESS AMBITION stepped inwards for a stride, resulting in CRAIGLES BRONTE losing its running.
MONDAY CHOICE – Impeded on jumping by SWEET MOLLY, which had shifted inwards, and SUPER SLICK, which had shifted outwards. Raced wide throughout.
FLAWLESS AMBITION – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Raced wide throughout. Jockey Adam Spinks pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on 9 occasions prior to the 100m, 12 times in total. Jockey Spinks was fined $500. In determining penalty, stewards took into account the QRIC whip penalty guidelines.
PACIFIC PIRATE – Raced keenly in the middle stages.
SWEET MOLLY – Shifted inwards at the start, bumping MONDAY CHOICE. Raced wide throughout.
SUPER SLICK – Shifted outwards at the start, bumping MONDAY CHOICE. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
FRIDAY’S JEY – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.
RACE 2: FASHIONS FROM AFAR MAIDEN PLATE (800M)
The start of this race was delayed due to the on-course QAS Officers being required to attend to a trainer who had fallen ill. The race was further delayed when the QAS Officers were further required to attend to a member of the general public.

PICCANNINY DANCER – Began awkwardly and as a result was slow to begin.
TRIPLE JAB – Began awkwardly and shifted out abruptly. Raced wide throughout.
ASK ME HARRY – Near the 400m, commenced to race keenly and had to be steadied to avoid racing up onto the heels of CRAIGLEA MONNIE. Inclined to lay outwards rounding the home turn. Passing the 100m, had to stop riding momentarily and shift outwards to avoid the heels of CRAIGLEA MONNIE (jockey Chris McIver) when that runner laid inwards under pressure. Jockey Chris McIver was reminded of his obligations to ensure he keeps his mounts straight when applying pressure.
OVER THE FIRE – Raced wide throughout.
TUK TIK – Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
CRAIGLEA MONNIE – Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.

SMACKEROONY – Raced wide in the early stages until obtaining the lead near the 1000m.
FULLY SUBSCRIBED – Raced wide throughout. When asked to comment on the performance, apprentice Jacallen Dooley stated that being trapped wide and unable to obtain a position closer to the rail proved detrimental as the mare may have done too much work in the early stages, which resulted in FULLY SUBSCRIBED failing to respond over the final stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be experiencing a poor post-race recovery and abnormal respiratory sounds. Trainers representative Maleah Hill was advised that the mare would require a veterinary clearance inclusive of an endoscopic report prior to racing again.

The start of this suspension was ordered to commence on midnight the 29th April 2026, which is the end date of the 11-day suspension jockey Richardson incurred at the Toowoomba meeting on the 11th of April, and would conclude midnight 6th Mat 2026. In determining, stewards considered the QRIC whip penalty guidelines.
