1.    Stewards approved the following overweights:
Race 2. Jason Babarovich (SHADYVALE AL) +1.0kg
Race 2. Lacey Morrison (VAN DER WOODSEN) +1.0kg
Race 2. Raul Silvera Olivera (WEBS) +1.0kg
Race 4. Adam Sewell (OUR FOLLY) +1.0kg

2.    Prior to the running of Race 1, the track was upgraded to a Good 4.
 
 
Race 1: LADBROKES SAME RACE MULTI QTIS 3YO & 4YO Maiden Handicap 1400M
 
PRINCE PIER – Jumped in abruptly at the start hampering TRUSTING STAR, which was taken in onto OKAY ZOOMER, which was bumped. Raced greenly in the final straight. Shifted out under riding over the final 100 metres contacting KAJETAN on two occasions.
 
SMALL TOWN HUSTLER – Bumped by TRUSTING STAR, and as a result was taken out onto OKAY ZOOMER leaving the 300 metres.
 
SAY IT LOUD – When questioned regarding the run of SAY IT LOUD which performed below market expectations, rider Ryan Wiggins stated that SAY IT LOUD failed to respond when placed under pressure and added that in his opinion, the mare failed to back up from its last start on the 31st of May.
 
KAJETAN – Bumped on jumping. Contacted on 2 occasions over the final 100 metres after PRINCE PIER shifted out under riding.
 
OKAY ZOOMER – Began only fairly, then bumped on jumping. Hampered and taken wider leaving the 300 metres when TRUSTING STAR shifted out abruptly when struck with the whip. On returning to scale, rider Ivo Fry, rider of 4th placegetter OKAY ZOOMER, advised Stewards he wished to lodge an objection against 3rd placegetter TRUSTING STAR alleging interference by that runner leaving the 300 metres. After consideration of all relevant factors including evidence for the respective riders and connections, along with the vision of the event, Stewards were not comfortably satisfied that the interference suffered had affected the finishing positions of the horses concerned and the protest was dismissed, with correct weight being declared on the judges’ numbers.
 
ONOMA – Began very awkwardly and got back.
 
WHISKEY GLASSES – Shifted in on jumping bumping with KAJETAN.
 
TRUSTING STAR – Hampered on jumping by PRINCE PIER and consequently was taken in onto OKAY ZOOMER. Shifted out abruptly when struck with the whip leaving the 300 metres taking SMALL TOWN HUSTLER out onto OKAY ZOOMER which became unbalanced for a short distance.
 
 
RACE 2: TRIPLE M QTIS Maiden Handicap 1200M

NIVEN – Steadied away from the heels of VAN DER WOODSEN leaving the 1000 metres. Held up for clear running for a short distance rounding the final turn.
 
AUCHTERARDER – Began awkwardly and got back.
 
AMBER AFFAIR – Rider Isabella Teh admitted of AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that she used her whip excessively prior to the 100 metres (+5 times). After consideration of penalty rider Teh’s license to ride in races was suspended from the close of racing today up to and including racing on Sunday 14th of June 2026.
 
PIXIE LANE – Bumped on jumping.
 
SWEET ‘N’ ELITE – Began awkwardly and shifted out brushing with BRIGINSHAW. Shifted out leaving the 800 metres and raced wide thereafter.
 
SHADYVALE AL – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
VAN DER WOODSEN – Shifted in on jumping and bumped PIXIE LANE. Commenced to race greenly entering the first turn and when being steadied, came back onto NIVEN, which had to steady in consequence. Continued to race greenly on occasion for the remainder.
 
 
RACE 3: STORM SIGNAGE BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1000M
 
I AM A MARVEL – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
GAMADALE NIP – Over-raced in the early and middle stages.
 
SNITZAROO – Shifted out on jumping bumping with DALT JAZ.
 
INDEFINITE (NZ) – Following the running of the race, it was established that INDEFINATE (NZ) had carried less than its required weight, with rider Lacey Morrison weighing in [0.7kg] below the allotted weight. Ms Morrison provided an explanation for the circumstances which resulted in the weight discrepancy, and that explanation was accepted. Nonetheless Ms Morrison was charged, and admitted a breach of AR 209(2)(b). After consideration of all relevant factors, including rider Morrison’s previously very good record with respect to this rule, the Stewards imposed a fine of $300.00. Pursuant to AR209(2)(a), and as the weight deficiency exceeded the 0.5kg allowance permitted under that rule, INDEFINITE (NZ) was disqualified from its sixth placing and the placings were amended accordingly.
 
DALT JAZ – Shifted in on jumping bumping with SNITZAROO.
 
CANNY PROSPECT – Steadied away from the heels of DALT JAZ nearing the finishing line.
 
LAZENBY – Was taken off its rightful line shortly after leaving the barriers and had to be checked to avoid the heels of SNITZAROO, which shifted in when not clear. Ms. Peta Edwards, the rider of SNITZAROO, admitted a resultant breach of AR 131(a), with the particulars being that leaving the 950 metres, she allowed her mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of LAZENBY which had to check. After consideration of penalty Ms. Edwards licence to ride in races was suspended from the close of racing on Saturday the 13th of June up to and including racing on Saturday the 20th of June. (7 days) Raced wide with cover throughout. Steadied leaving the 150 metres after SAVEE shifted out to obtain clear running. When questioned regarding the performance of LAZENBY, rider Ryan Wiggins stated that in his opinion the gelding may have got its tongue over the bit during the running, with rider Wiggins adding that he had recommended to connections the application of a tongue tie for the gelding’s next start
 
REBELIOUS RED – Began awkwardly.
 
SAVEE – Had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room leaving the 150 metres and shifted out, resulting in LAZENBY having to steady. 
 
Following the running of Race 3, the track was upgraded to a Good 3. This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective of Race 3. 
 
 
RACE 4: CHANNEL SEVEN BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1200M
 
HEZA ROMEO – Began awkwardly and shifted in bumping LOOK AT ROSA.
 
WAR COUNCIL – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
FLY FIFER – Laid in under pressure through the early part of the home straight.
 
TIPPED OFF – Raced in restricted room rounding the first turn. Shifted out leaving the 250 metres, inconveniencing LINE OF KINGS.
 
FALLGUY – Slow to begin. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
LOOK AT ROSA – Bumped on jumping. Commenced to over-race leaving the 1000 metres after being steadied; held up rounding the final turn and had difficulty obtaining clear running throughout the final straight.
 
LOOMING ONE – Held up for clear running from rounding the home turn up to a point passing the 100 metres.
 
OUR FOLLY – Lost its right fore shoe during the running.
 
WIRED FOR FUN – Raced wide with cover throughout.
 
LINE OF KINGS – Raced wide with cover throughout. Inconvenienced leaving the 250 metres when TIPPED OFF shifted out.
 
 
RACE 5: COUNTRY FEST 12TH-13TH JUNE @ CLUDEN PARK OPEN Handicap 1200M
 
OBLIGATED – When questioned regarding the below market expectation performance of OBLIGATED, rider Adam Sewell stated that the gelding may have been unsuited to the firm nature of today’s racing surface. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.
 
DOUBTING EYE – Began awkwardly and shifted out contacting the hind-quarters of ARMOUR FORCE, losing ground.  Raced wide throughout.
 
TURBEAU – Steadied around heels leaving the 250 metres to continue to improve.
 
ARMOUR FORCE – Contacted by DOUBTING EYE on jumping and was slow to begin as a result. Momentarily held up for clear running shortly after entering the home straight.
 
UNDER THE LIMIT – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
ODEGAARD – Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure through the early part of the home straight.
 
ROUGE MOULIN – Steadied away from the heels of MEDIA EMPIRE rounding the home turn. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.
 
 
RACE 6: LYON BUILD BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1400M
 
MATERIALIST – Jumped in the air as the start was affected, losing ground. Raced keenly in the early stages. Held up in the early part of the final straight.
 
ROCK THE SUNRISE – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and through the early part of the home straight, with ROCK THE SUNRISE only obtaining racing room in the final 150 metres.
 
INTRUDER – Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Improved onto heels leaving the 500 metres and had to be heavily restrained. Disappointed for a run passing the 300 metres then failed to obtain clear running throughout the final straight.
 
TURN ME ROYALE (NZ) – Slow to begin. Commenced to race fiercely leaving the 1000 metres when being restrained and was taken wider on the track.
 
 
RACE 7: BELLE PROPERTY QTIS 2YO CLASSIC 1200M
 
BETTER BLITZEM – Shifted in on jumping crowding SPORT.
 
CARLANDO – Crowded on jumping; forced wider on the track near the 600 metres.
 
BOOMIOUS – travelled wide throughout.
 
BLESSED BOOM – Tightened near the 900 metres and had to steady. Commenced to race greenly and over-race near the 650;  metres ducked out abruptly near the 600 metres forcing CARLANDO and SPORT wider on the track. Rider Chris McIver reported that after being tightened near the 900 metres BLESSED BOOM had proved difficult to ride thereafter, and when attempting to steady off the heels of DUB STEPPING passing the 600 metres had over-reacted and had run out despite his efforts. Given all circumstances the Stewards determined no further action was required; had to shift ground out near the 200 metres to continue to improve.
 
SPORT – Crowded on jumping: travelled wide throughout; forced wider on the track near the 600 metres.
 
WORTHY GEM – Slow into stride.
 
GOLDEN GLAZE – Slow into stride. Placed in restricted room then checked near the 900 metres when inside BLESSED BOOM which was tightened and forced inward by DUB STEPPING (Tahlia Fenlon) which shifted in when not clear. Also affected in this incident was WORTHY GEM which was buffeted for a short distance and trailing MAGANISTA which was checked and lost several lengths in this incident. Rider Fenlon admitted a resultant breach of AR131(a) with the particular being the near the 900 metres she permitted DUB STEPPING to shift inward when not clear, resulting in GOLDEN GLAZE and MAGANISTA being checked and WORTHY GEM being buffeted. After consideration of all relevant penalty considerations Ms Fenlon’s licence to ride in races was suspended from the close of racing on Thursday 11th June 2026, up to and including racing on Monday 22nd June 2022 (11 Days).
 
ROCKY PRINCE – Shifted out on jumping crowding CARLANDO out onto DEE THREE, which was hampered.
 
STYLISH DIAMOND -Stewards noted rider Chris Whiteley D’Avila exceeded the permitted strikes of the whip prior to the 100m (+ three) under AR132(7)(a)(ii); however, given the totality of the whip use no further action was taken.
 
DEE THREE – Began awkwardly then hampered shortly after: had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the final straight and passing the 100 metres shifted out to continue to improve.
 
ALBERTA BOUND – Began awkwardly and shifted out crowding SPORT; travelled 3-wide without cover throughout.
 
I’LLTELLYOUANYTIME – was declared a late scratching at 5:01pm after refusing to load into the barriers.  Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered that all bets placed on I’LLTELLYOUANYTIME be refunded with the following deductions to apply:
 
1st THE BARBER 0c win, 3c place
2nd BETTER BLITZEM 1c place
3rd STYLISH DIAMOND 5c place


Trainer Olivia Cairns was advised that I’LLTELLYOUANYTIME must obtain a further barrier certificate prior to racing again.
