Race 1: Strathayr Class 1 H'cap – 1050m

MISH MOSH – Refused to jump with the field and took no part in the race. Trainer B. Currie was advised that the horse must trial satisfactorily in an official barrier trial prior to its next race start.

CAZNOT – Slow to begin.

SAPPHIRE BELLE – Momentarily forced to ease passing the 600m when placed in restricted room to the inside of another runner.

MARKSFIELD – Raced wide throughout.

SNAP FREEZE – Raced wide throughout.

Race 2: Dawn Osborne Florist Benchmark 75 H'cap – 1100m

AMBER ALE – Made contact on jumping away.

HOLY TOLEDO – Made contact on jumping away.

CHILLS – Steadied near the 800m when placed in restricted room.

DWAN – Raced wide for the duration of the race. Rider S. Bogenhuber could offer no explanation for the poor performance other than the horse was forced to race wide throughout.

BLOODED – Raced wide for the duration of the race.

Race 3: Vanderfield Class 3 H'cap - 1300m

SPIHRO – Shifted out and bumped another runner leaving the 700m.

DOING OUR BEST – Bumped leaving the 700m.

TIGERISH – Disappointed for clear running approaching the 300m and again near the 250m, and as a result was forced to alter course to the inside to obtain clear running.

RUM TUM TUGGER – Shifted in under pressure in the home straight.

O’GRADY – Raced wide for the majority of the race.

HOW CAN I HELP – Raced wide for the majority of the race.

DOING OUR BEST – Raced wide for the majority of the race.

Race 4: Seven News Class 2 H'cap – 1625m

MISS EXPRESS – Slow into stride. Raced wide in the early and middle stages.

MR PENNYPACKER - Slow into stride.

SPORT OF KINGS - Slow into stride.

TIMELESS TALE – On return to scale, rider S. Bogenhuber advised that the mare performed a little disappointingly today and could offer no tangible explanation. She however did advise the trainer to experiment with gear on the horse by removing the blinkers. Trainer T. Sears expressed his disappointment with the performance, however advised that, in his opinion, the mare did not back up from its recent start last Saturday. He said that it was now his intention to space the mare’s runs, and agreed with jockey Bogenhuber’s assessment the horse would be suited by the removal of the blinkers, and it was his intention to enact this gear change for its next race start.

Race 5: XXXX Gold Maiden Plate – 1625m

MYSTICAL HAIL – Began awkwardly and then was tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground. Raced ungenerously whilst being restrained in the early stages. Raced in restricted room for a short distance near the 1000m.

SMART BET – Bumped at start.

FLASH MAGIC – Raced keenly in the early stages. Bumped heavily approaching the 300m.

FLYING LUCKY – Improved onto heels at the 1100m and shifted wider on the track and raced wide from that point.

I’M SWEDISH – Bumped heavily approaching the 300m.

PIPER – Cast its off hind plate in running.


Race 6: Grand Central QTIS 3yo Maiden Plate - 1110m

BEKANNTES – Declared a late scratching at 4.15 pm due to the downgrading of the track.

JACK BE NOBLE – Began awkwardly.

RED KISSES – Jumped in the air at the start.

KAMIRI LAD – Laid out from the 600m.

ZIP TO THE MOON – Shifted out abruptly when struck with the whip near the 50m.

BRONZE TIARA – Raced wide throughout.


Race 7: Neil Mansell Transport Maiden H'cap – 1050m

NEW COPY – Began awkwardly. Laid in during the middle stages of the event.

MANYANA MISS – Began awkwardly.

HIGH SOCIETY – Began awkwardly.

GARRADEEN – Raced ungenerously whilst being restrained in the early stages.

AT THE ROUGE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.

ULTIMATE RUSH – Upon arrival at the swabbing stall it was found to be in a significantly distressed condition. Trainer K. Kemp was advised that a veterinary certificate will be required prior to its next race start Mr Kemp undertook to advise stewards of any significant abnormality that comes to light in the days following the race.
