Race 1 – WANDOAN WINDMILL VILLAGE CLASS B H’CAP – 1200M

GANADO EXPRESS – Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and bumped another runner.

LOVE A TIGER – Bumped at the start.

RED WARNING – Hung out in the early and middle stages.

NOTHING BUT GOLD – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.


Race 2 – JUANDAH HOTEL MOTEL/DELL JAMES PATRON CLASS B H'CAP – 900M

LYNYRD SKYNYRD – Slow to begin.


Race 3 – MURILLA HARDWARE MITRE 10/MULLINS HARDWARE MITRE 10 QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 900M

PUBLIC ADDRESS - With the approval of Trainer S. McEwan, Stewards permitted Apprentice P. Bradford to ride PUBLIC ADDRESS at 1kg over the handicapped weight as no other rider was available. At a subsequent inquiry, Apprentice Bradford was fined $200 under AR120(b).

LADY VILLA – Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.

IT’S A MINARDI - Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.

BAY DUKE – Commenced to hang out from the 800m. Continued to hang out and from the 400m took no further competitive part in the event. Trainer T. Sears was notified that BAY DUKE will be required to trial satisfactorily in the presence of Stewards prior to racing again.


Race 4 – COL HICKEY MEMORIAL H’CAP – 1000M

SPEEDING DRAGON – Raced wide throughout. Hung out rounding the home turn. Stewards adjourned an inquiry into Apprentice P. Bradford’s riding of SPEEDING DRAGON over the concluding stages to allow Apprentice Bradford to be represented by his master. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.


Race 5 – MJE CLASS 3 PLATE – 1000M

BACK TO WHARTON – Slow to begin.

CAPTAIN SPUR – Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
