Race 1: CQ Crane Hire BM 55 Handicap - 1000 metres
DIABLE- The explanation regarding the late declaration of rider was accepted.
KIARA QUEEN- Due to miscommunication, App Z. White was dually engaged and Stewards permitted App D Evans to be the replacement rider.
SILENT GEE- Slow to begin.
HANG ON TIGHT- Slow to begin.
HOLD THAT THOUGHT- Near the 800 metres, steadied when another runner shifted inwards.
ME FAST TOO- Near the 700 metres, hung out and took another runner outwards. Near the 500 metres, become awkward momentarily.
DIABLE- Taken outwards near the 700 metres. Near the 500 metres, become awkward momentarily.
Race 2: Pacific Hotel QTIS 3YO Maiden Handicap - 1000 metres
SWEET AIRLIE- Trainer reprimanded for the late declaration of rider.
MY ROY BOY- Slow to begin and raced wide without cover throughout.
COURTZIG- For a short distance from the 800 metres, raced keenly on the heels of another runner.
Race 3: Regal’s Dental Maiden Plate- 1200 metres
HAZARDOUS AREA- Slow to begin.
SISTER KATIE- Slow into stride and raced wide without cover throughout.
FRANKY COLD MEDINA- Apprentice dropped her near side rein in the concluding stages.
Approaching the 900 metres, FRANKY COLD MEDINA (App Z White) shifted in marginally and tightened CHIEF HUNTER (A. Lawrence). When App White relieved the pressure to the runner on her inside and CHIEF HUNTER was eased, the gelding hung out and clipped the heels of FRANKY COLD MEDINA and blundered. While taking into account the racing manners of CHIEF HUNTER, App Z. White was advised to exercise greater care to keep her mount straight.
DANEBERRY ROAD- Bled from both nostrils. Trainer was advised the horse would now be barred for 3 months and would be required to gallop over 1000 metres prior to its next start.
Race 4: The Strand Hotel Class 3 Plate- 1200 metres
ELLE THE MODEL- Slow to begin.
JEWEL BANGLES- Raced wide without cover throughout.
CUBAN SONG- Raced wide throughout.
OUTBACK SAPPER- Shifted out slightly under pressure over the concluding stages and brushed another runner.
SON OF A WARRIOR- Brushed by another runner over the concluding stages.
Race 5: GJ Gardner Homes Yeppoon Newmarket Open Handicap- 1300 metres
STAGE EXIT- Raced wide without cover throughout. Rider reported the saddle had shifted in the straight and as a result he was unable to ride the gelding out.
GO DIGGER- Raced wide without cover throughout.
